These impellers were brought to us for machining; there was a total of four.
All diameters, int. and ext. were machined on manual lathes, the profile work needed to be done on the CNC lathe.

The radius seen above was machined towards the outside diameter where it was blended into a calculated taper.  All of the geometry for the profile was drawn and machined using BobCAD v24.

A G73 lathe cycle was used to machine this part.  It's purpose is to minimize the cutting time for roughing material of irregular shapes and forms, for example, forgings and castings.
